A Letter From Our Founder, Molly Reyes
Hello Amplify Community~
Let me begin by saying thank you - for saying yes to community, for honoring your needs, and for reading this letter!
Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are just joining, you may have wondered: What is Amplify really all about?
The truth is, I’ve been trying to figure that out by throwing spaghetti at the wall and falsely claiming serendipitous programming as “organic evolution.”
If any of our offerings have left you feeling confused, overwhelmed, or excluded, please accept my sincere apology.
I’m writing to share how my recent identity shifts (yay for leaving corporate!) will enhance the way I show up for Amplify and intentionally cultivate a collective refuge.
What has shiftedSustainability is essential to success
Amplify began in March 2024 as a group of girlfriends gathering for a monthly Zoom call. A few months later, we held our first in-person event, where most attendees did not know each other.
I witnessed the pure magic of what becomes possible when people feel safe, seen, and supported. Women spoke vulnerably from the heart, openly shed tears, and found comfort in shared understanding. We were more alike than we realized, and the experience created collective hope, healing, and love.
I still remember driving home from that event in awe, imagining what Amplify could become. And for those of you who know me, y’all know I go BIG!
Fast-forward to November 2025, when I executed the biggest project of my career: the Amplify Conference, a two-day holistic leadership experience.
It was phenomenal - the joy of community, the depth of the dialogue, the inspiring impact!
Many women shared that they hadn’t realized how much they needed a space like Amplify. Together, we experienced the power of:
Being authentic without fear of judgment
Witnessing one another as we processed loss, uncertainty, and grief
Sharing the joy of celebrating community wins
I have no doubt that the ripple effects of that experience will travel far and wide in ways I can’t yet imagine.
Executing the Amplify Conference was also the HARDEST thing I’ve done in my career. Not only did I fail to make a single dollar of profit, but I actually lost thousands of dollars creating an experience grounded in love.
I now know that I can’t love y’all if I don’t love myself.
Amplify isn’t sustainable if Molly’s wellbeing isn’t sustainable.
That was a hard truth to swallow. But the burnout that followed helped me understand that a resourced Molly (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially) is necessary to create an enduring, expansive, and impactful community.
Walking the talkI am not new to the self-care rodeo, but this entrepreneur thing is a whole new bull ride for me!
In the beginning, I foolishly believed Corporate Molly had all the skills, experience, and connections needed to build a novel, collaborative, and innovative business with ease.
Wow, I was really naive!
Through experience (and some tough love from friends and mentors) I have learned to:
Ask for specific help. The clearer the ask, the more likely it is to be answered.
Practice what I preach by prioritizing self-care, rest, and the things that bring me joy.
Embody mindfulness, compassion, and intentionality - and show up as I truly am rather than as the person I think others want me to be.
That last one is big, y’all. It is an ongoing process of unlearning, remembering, and sitting with the unfamiliar. Please keep me honest and call me out when my actions are not aligned with my words!
During my silent meditation retreat in August, I felt something activate deep in my bones: permission to be Molly.
I’ve been saying that I want to drop the armor, stop performing, and release control. Now, I will mindfully and consistently practice doing it.
27-years of corporate programming will not transform overnight, but I am hopeful for accelerated progress with the support of the Amplify Community.
A new chapter for AmplifyOne of my teachers once told me that everything we build will eventually be destroyed, so make it beautiful.
Throughout our history, Amplify has created many moments of beauty, often through ugly and inefficient operations. Put simply, I was rebuilding the wheel for every Amplify event.
Communal growth requires continuity, consistency, and collective care.
Amplify is evolving into a collective refuge: a place to land, exhale, and remember.
Our expanded offering combines accessible virtual resources with intentional in-person experiences.
The Amplify Circle, our enhanced virtual platform, will provide regular programming, create new opportunities for connection, and showcase Women-of-Color-owned businesses.
Our in-person programming is designed to nourish your wellbeing while positioning you for continued professional success, as you choose to define it.
Every Amplify touchpoint will offer a space to arrive as you are, soften your heart and mind, and gently remember your value, your power, and your purpose.
My hope for youWe are not problems to fix, projects to complete, or worthiness to prove.
We are exquisite, radiant, and powerful beyond measure - especially when we choose to love ourselves, accept ourselves, and allow others to support our growth.
Amplify creates the conditions for you to choose yourself, learn alongside an aligned community, and practice personal agency within a supportive container.
This work is hard. It may feel unfamiliar and it can be absolutely daunting when you try to do it alone. I know from experience!
I also know that being surrounded by like-hearted, open-minded women creates a mirror of wisdom through which we can witness the fullness of our own brilliance, boldness, and beauty.
I hope you will say yes to honoring your needs.
I hope you will say yes to investing in your development.
I hope you will say yes to showing up as you are and trusting the Amplify Community to hold you.
We are truly interconnected and stronger together 💜
Thank you for reading with an open heart, for continuing to believe in me and Amplify, and for trusting yourself to decide what is most aligned with your needs as we begin this new chapter.
Sending you lots of love and the biggest hug!
Molly
